Friends, if you’re thinking of getting away next week, you’ll miss one of the biggest weeks of the year in data/policy.
Here’s what’s on deck for next week:
TUESDAY: July Consumer Confidence from the Conference Board
WEDNESDAY: The Fed’s July policy decision, including some public words from the man himself (Jay Powell)
THURSDAY: First look at Q2 GDP data, which is expected to be the worst print on record (-35% QOQ, on an annualized basis)

Jobless claims data (always a spectacle these days)
FRIDAY: June Core PCE data

The “fiscal cliff” for enhanced unemployment benefits
Also, it’s arguably the biggest week for Q2 earnings season, with 181 S&P 500 companies scheduled to release results (including Facebook, Amazon, Apple and Alphabet aka Google)
