United pressing system should be the same as Chelsea. However, It ended up dis-jointed.
Reason:
- #Chelsea built up used a auxiliary Wing-back as FB. -- Formation during the initial stage: 4231.
- The 3 drop narrow to occupy #mufc pivot.

A few mins after this situation kept happening:
- #mufc front 3 moved narrow.
- Prevent Chelsea's pivot from getting on the ball.
- #Chelsea played long-balls to Giroud or play through the flanks
- Caballero played the most long-balls in the match excluding Goal kicks.

Chelsea plan B:
- Long-balls to Giroud.
- Mount, James & Willian to receive the flick on or 2nd ball. Remember the 42--"3"--1!
- Bailly and Maguire dealt with Giroud relatively well in the first 42 minutes.
- Won most of their aerial duels against him.

- Key point:
- Chelsea's press was very aggressive.
- When United played through press, it was obvious that Chelsea players were instructed to foul United. 21 fouls.
Reason:
- If United got through the press. It puts Chelsea in a 3v3 with United's Bruno, Rashford and DJ.

- This was a foul on Rashford. It was given to Chelsea.
- This incident happened 3 times in the match.
- So 3 of United's fouls were actually Chelsea's.
- This not to excuse United for their sloppiness but to highlight the aggressiveness Chelsea played with.

2nd half:
- After Bailly's injury. #mufc went back to 4231.
- #Chelsea only had to mark Pogba and stay central.
- #Chelsea 532 shape without the ball.
- #mufc controlled in possession terms but not in creation.

- Frank used Solskjaer's tactics in the 2nd half.
- Use a 532 when not in possession and hit on the break with a long ball instead of playing it out.
- Resulted in 3 set-pieces. Chelsea's only 3 chances in the 2nd half. (3rd goal came from not clearing a set piece well)

- Kudos to Lampard he prepared well.
- Used Ole's tactics in the big games against him.
- Although was helped by #mufc players fatal errors.
- Game was a stalemate until Bailly came off as both teams were using the same tactics.
- #mufc was just not as effective going forward.

Why?
United's problems:
- flanks were not effective in attacking.
- Williams had a poor game. 2nd half improved but late.
- Williams got into great positions multiple times but he would pass back to Matic.

- AWB did good defensively & offered little attacking wise.
- #mufc 's flanks are becoming their weakness in attack.
- Ole should have brought on Ighalo to play him as a target man like Giroud did for Chelsea as United struggled with Chelsea's press and fouls.

- This would have given #mufc ability to play long-balls to by-pass Chelsea's press as Chelsea have done.
- Rahsford and James could have played off him.
- Chelsea did a good man-marking on the forwards as explained before. Gave them no space to receive the ball to feet.

- The 48 hour extra rest gave Chelsea the extra energy for their press to be aggressive.
- #mufc's players were still committing simple mistakes.
