šŸšØ[THREAD]

My free-hit guide depending on wether you are chasing rank or looking to maintain your rank:
TEAM 1: For maintaining rank.

-includes highly owned players who are going to be popular this week.
-Players with high effective ownership can cause the most damaged to your rank so Iā€™m looking to include them.
-Not many differentials

Hereā€™s the team:
Formation: 3-5-2

Current squad value: Ā£102.8m

Number of starting players from each team:

šŸŒ Man City - 3 (vs NOR)
šŸŸ£ Burnley - 2 (vs BHA)
āšŖļø Spurs - 2 (vs CRY)
šŸ”“ Liverpool - 1 (vs NEW)
šŸ‘¹ Man United - 1 (vs LEI)
āš’ West Ham - 1 (vs AVL)
šŸ”“ Southampton - 1 (vs SHU)
My thinking:

šŸŸ£ Pope and Pieters - The effective ownership of Burnley defenders in the top 10K is expected to be over 100% this week, so having 1 is pretty pointless in maintaining rank as youā€™ll go down. For me 2 is the safe option as it will be effective if they do keep...
...a clean sheet but you arenā€™t risking too much. They are also very likely to as Pope is going for the golden glove and theyā€™re playing against a Brighton team whoā€™ve only scored 3 goals in their last 7 games.
šŸ”“ TAA - Last week he had an effective ownership of 61% in the top 10K. After his explosive performance against Chelsea I think people could be looking to get him in their free-hit teams. Against a Newcastle team who havenā€™t won in 5 I think it could be very risky getting rid...
of Trent and if you want to hold your rank, Iā€™d definitely have him in my free-hit team.

āšŖļø Aurier - Although his ownership may not be that high, I think heā€™s one that a lot of people are going to be looking at this week. Spurs have a combination of form and fixture...
winning their last 3 and coming up against a Palace side whoā€™ve lost their last 7. I think it would be sensible to cover Spursā€™ defence this week.

šŸŒ Sterling - if youā€™re looking to maintain rank on a free-hit, you CANNOT go without Sterling this week. His effective...
ownership is going to be ridiculously high. This is literally the perfect mix of form and fixture for a player as sterlingā€™s in his best form all season and Norwich have practically given up. I donā€™t really need to say much else. He would also be my captain in this team.
šŸŒ De Bruyne - People May be going off him but I think heā€™s still essential this week. Heā€™s the joint FPL top scorer this season, chasing the assists record and playing the worst team in the league. It sounds perfect. I know heā€™s not been in the best of form but a haul...
is on itā€™s way. Going without him could be risky this week when looking to maintain rank as his EO has been around 100% since the restart.

šŸŒ Dilva - last Premier League game ever but this isnā€™t just a sentimental pick. Yes it helps that his team mates will be looking for...
him and he might be on more set pieces but letā€™s not forget that heā€™s got 2 double-digit hauls in his last 2 starts. Lots of people are going to be jumping on this bandwagon and I would recommend doing so if youā€™re happy with your rank.
āš’ Antonio - He May be seen as a bit of a differential but for that Price bracket (around 7m) heā€™s probably going to be the player that most people are going with this week on their free-hits. Although heā€™s playing a motivated Aston Villa side heā€™s bang in form and would be a...
reasonably safe inclusion in my opinion.

šŸ”“ Fernandes - Even though they didnā€™t look great against West Ham, I still think itā€™s sensible to cover United on your free-hit if youā€™re playing it safe. Fernandes is very highly owned so this would be the best option in my...
opinion as he could really hurt you if you let him go.

āšŖļø Kane - A lot of people are jumping on Kane after his recent form and I think heā€™s a very good option. 25 points in his last 2 gameweeks and now heā€™s coming up against a Palace side who have conceded 17 goals in their...
last 7 games. A very good pick and a player that could be highly owned this week

šŸ”“ Ings - Ings is the closest player to Vardy in the race for the golden boot so is going to be very motivated going into the final game. A lot of managers already own him and even more will...
look to get him in on the free-hit so I think he is an important player to have if youā€™re playing it safe.

Subs: Button, Williams, woods, Connelly. Connelly would be first sub as he often gets minutes and could provide attacking returns. Williams is also a good option if...
Shaw isnā€™t available.

You can obviously adjust this accordingly depending on your team value.

Some adjustments Iā€™d make if you havenā€™t got enough:

TAA āž”ļø Robertson/VVD
Fernandes āž”ļø Martial
De Bruyne āž”ļø Mahrez

Adjustments Iā€™d make if youā€™ve got more:

Pieters āž”ļø Tark
TEAM 2: For chasing rank.

-Includes a lot more differentials (players who arenā€™t highly owned)
-A lot more risky as itā€™s looking to avoid highly owned players and hoping they blank

Hereā€™s the team:
Formation: 3-4-3

Current squad value: Ā£102.9

Number of starting players from each team:

šŸŒ Man City - 2 (vs NOR)
āšŖļø Spurs - 2 (vs CRY)
šŸ”“ Arsenal - 2 (vs WAT)
šŸ”µ Everton - 2 (vs BOU)
šŸ”“ Liverpool - 1 (vs NEW)
šŸ”µ Brighton - 1 (vs BUR)
āš’ West Ham - 1 (vs AVL)
My thinking:

šŸ”˜ Defence/ GK - I can do this all in one part because my thinking for them all is the same. The players that would start are Martinez, Johnson, Brainthwwaite and Lamptey. My thinking is they are all cheap, are starting at the moment and have pretty good...
fixtures from a defensive point of view. Iā€™ve included a cheap defense as thereā€™s not usually many clean sheets on the final day and thereā€™s lots of goals so thereā€™s more money on the attack. Risky, but could pay off big time.
šŸ”“ Salah - A lot of people are getting rid of him this week and that could really play into your hands if youā€™re trying to climb the ranks. Heā€™s turning into a bit of a differential which is ridiculous when you think heā€™s the joint highest scoring player in FPL this season...
I really fancy him this week as heā€™s due a haul having been really unlucky the past few weeks and heā€™ll be determined to finish as high up the golden boot ranks as possible. Newcastle also have a lot of defensive injuries which plays into Salahā€™s hands even more. I really...
feel like heā€™s getting overlooked this week.

šŸŒ Mahrez - whilst everyone else is jumping on Sterling, De Bruyne and Silva, i think mahrez is going unnoticed. He was rested last week, heā€™s reasonably low owned and heā€™s got returns in 5 of his 6 starts since the restart...
Heā€™s the perfect Man City differential if youā€™re looking to climb up the ranks.

šŸ”µ Richarlison - back amongst the goals last week, playing a Bournemouth team who have to come out and attack this week. I think Richarlison is the perfect differential for this gameweek...
Owned by less than 10% of all players heā€™s one that could really help your rank this week if heā€™s on full form.

āšŖļø Son - Son could be a good differential this week, coming up against a poor Crystal Palace side. Heā€™s only owned by 8.4% and on his day can be one of the most...
Explosive wingers in the league. If Spurs play like they did against Leicester then thereā€™s definitely points in this for sonny. I also think a lot of people will overlook him which makes him an even better option if youā€™re looking to climb the ranks
āšŖļø Kane - Kane is the only player who Iā€™ve included in both drafts. Thatā€™s because for me heā€™s neither a differential or a safe pick. Lots of people will be getting him in this week but heā€™s still not owned that much overall (12.9%) so he still could be a good asset even...
if youā€™re not playing it safe. Captaining him could make him even more explosive and help you go up the ranks.

šŸ”“ Aubameyang - After his blank against Villa, and Arsenal being in the FA cup final lots of people are going off Auba but I think heā€™s still a great option...
Letā€™s not forget he was rested against Liverpool in GW36 so I doubt heā€™s going to be rested again, especially considering heā€™s a hat-trick off Vardy in the race for the golden boot. Heā€™s playing against a Watford team who are going to have to attack which with his pace...
could play into his hands. He had an EO of 9.41% in the top 10K In GW37 showing heā€™s still not owned by many high up.

šŸŒ Jesus - Like with Mahrez, a lot of attention will be on other City assets this week but I still think Jesus could be a good option...
The last 3 strikers to start against Norwich; Antonio, Giroud & Wood, all had a lot chances and scored a combined 6 goals. With Jesusā€™ ability, If he starts, he could be explosive in this final GW. Only 8.1% owned he could be a great player to boost you up the ranks...
(Early team news could be key for this one as Iā€™m not convinced heā€™ll start)

Subs: Button, Williams, Watts, Guendouzi. Just went for the cheapest options to help free up funds elsewhere. Iā€™d have Williams first sub as heā€™s got more chance of featuring.
Other things to consider for this team:

If you want to triple up on Burnley defence that isnā€™t a bad idea. I wouldnā€™t go one or two but if you have the money to go 3 and are confident theyā€™ll get a clean sheet then itā€™s something to consider.
If you want to go differential but are to scared to not own sterling, you could fit him in this team buy going:

Son + Jesus + Guendouzi āž”ļø Sterling, moura + Connelly

You can obviously adjust this accordingly depending on your team value.
