My free-hit guide depending on wether you are chasing rank or looking to maintain your rank:

TEAM 1: For maintaining rank.

-includes highly owned players who are going to be popular this week.
-Players with high effective ownership can cause the most damaged to your rank so I’m looking to include them.
-Not many differentials

Pope and Pieters - The effective ownership of Burnley defenders in the top 10K is expected to be over 100% this week, so having 1 is pretty pointless in maintaining rank as you’ll go down. For me 2 is the safe option as it will be effective if they do keep...

Defence/ GK - I can do this all in one part because my thinking for them all is the same. The players that would start are Martinez, Johnson, Brainthwwaite and Lamptey. My thinking is they are all cheap, are starting at the moment and have pretty good...

Explosive wingers in the league. If Spurs play like they did against Leicester then there’s definitely points in this for sonny. I also think a lot of people will overlook him which makes him an even better option if you’re looking to climb the ranks

Kane - Kane is the only player who I’ve included in both drafts. That’s because for me he’s neither a differential or a safe pick. Lots of people will be getting him in this week but he’s still not owned that much overall (12.9%) so he still could be a good asset even...

Jesus - Like with Mahrez, a lot of attention will be on other City assets this week but I still think Jesus could be a good option...

The last 3 strikers to start against Norwich; Antonio, Giroud & Wood, all had a lot chances and scored a combined 6 goals. With Jesus’ ability, If he starts, he could be explosive in this final GW. Only 8.1% owned he could be a great player to boost you up the ranks...

(Early team news could be key for this one as I’m not convinced he’ll start)

Subs: Button, Williams, Watts, Guendouzi. Just went for the cheapest options to help free up funds elsewhere. I’d have Williams first sub as he’s got more chance of featuring.

Other things to consider for this team:

If you want to triple up on Burnley defence that isn’t a bad idea. I wouldn’t go one or two but if you have the money to go 3 and are confident they’ll get a clean sheet then it’s something to consider.

If you want to go differential but are to scared to not own sterling, you could fit him in this team buy going:

Son + Jesus + Guendouzi Sterling, moura + Connelly

You can obviously adjust this accordingly depending on your team value.
