(1/?) My dad is a small business owner and is currently on the phone with a stressed employee who found out she suddenly needs surgery and has to unexpectedly take off of work for a few weeks. He's been on the phone for 45 min now telling her not to worry, she will of course
remain on payroll, her job isn't going anywhere, the company will find coverage, and to do what she needs to do to get better. He told her to stop apologizing and said to her that "your health is the only thing that matters." He goes on to tell her to not hesitate to ask for
more time, as well as a ride to/from the hospital whenever she needs, along with any other resource he can provide, as he is only a phone call away. The entire call he has repeatedly assured her that they will work with her on absolutely whatever she needs until her health is
100% and that he is with her every step to figure it out, including further looking into the insurance she has through the company to make sure she understands what she can get covered and what programs she’s part of so that there are no surprises and she can make an
informed decision. I have never been prouder to be my dad's daughter -- an amazing role model, father, and CEO who will go great lengths for his employees because he genuinely cares. I really wish all business leaders in America cared like this. (End thread)
