I recently went by @PpeterPeter's new mansion block on Peckham Road, which was completed last year. It integrates well in the street and even though it lacks the ornamentation of older buildings, the articulated facade has enough visual interest to hold the eye.

2/ It's really great to see a narrow border of plants along the edge of the building. I'm constantly advocating for this wherever possible because it makes such a difference for beauty and softens the way a building integrates into the street. Even 30-50cm is enough.
3/ How great is it to see such uneven setts in a new project?
4/ I really like the timber gates into the front patio of the ground floor homes, and these are some of the nicest bin doors I've seen. I hope they're built to last and age well.
5/ Some of the plants have already died so the contractor will need to replace them and BT should remove the dilapidated telephone box out front, but we'd be lucky if the average new build rose to this level of design and detail.
