“If you don't care to be liked, they can’t touch you.” - Naval Ravikant @naval

The quote is short, but completely transformational. In 11 words, it challenges a lifetime of conditioning.
“We should have two-factor authentication on our calendars.”- Naval Ravikant @naval

Time is the most precious and non-renewable resource we have. But we give it away freely. Every time you book something on your calendar, ask yourself: “Is this something I REALLY want to do?”
"Treat your life like a movie."- Naval Ravikant @naval

It is not meant to be an exercise to gain the approval of others. It is your movie, you are the protagonist. It makes you behave according to your own standards. Your higher self is the audience. How should the hero behave?
"The older the problem, the older the solution."- Naval Ravikant @naval

Read "source" books. Older solutions have stood the test of time. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is over 2,000 years old and gives solutions to the problems humans have been suffering from for millennia.
“I, and I alone, am responsible for everything I think and feel.”- Naval Ravikant @naval

I am ultimately accountable for my internal landscape. Don't waste time blaming or pointing fingers. Figure it out. https://twitter.com/naval/status/1278735123081392128?s=20
"Desire is a contract you make with yourself to be unhappy until you get what you want."- Naval Ravikant @naval

Love this. Great reminder that I can choose to be happy with what I have in the present moment. I do not have to wait for a future event to bring happiness.
"Self improvement is just a dressed up form of self conflict."- Naval Ravikant @naval

Yes we want to get better, yes we want to improve. But it should be infused w/ a healthy dose of self acceptance and love.
"If you can speed read a book, you shouldn't read it." - Naval Ravikant @naval

You need to take time with a good book. Develop a relationship with it. Highlight, annotate, transcribe, reflect. Give it a chance to let it's wisdom sink in. https://twitter.com/naval/status/1282553195508580352?s=20
"The nature of technology is that destructive power arises before constructive power."- Naval Ravikant @naval

Scary but true...technological advances tend to be for destructive capabilities until their constructive advantages arise. Where is Twitter on this spectrum?
"Work is the set of things of things you have to do that you don't want to do. If you like what you do it isn't work." - Naval Ravikant @naval

Make sure you find work that doesn't feel like "work".
Thank you Naval Ravikant for all the wisdom you are putting out into the world. Your thoughts always give me pause to contemplate and reflect...for that I thank you.
