We tracked donations to President Trump and Joe Biden from across the U.S. over the last 3 months — and the results offer yet another sign of the nation’s political divisions.

Here's a look at how they compare over all and in 5 key battleground states. https://nyti.ms/3hCdT3L
The data shows that, from April through June, Joe Biden had more donors in 26 states, including battlegrounds like Pennsylvania and North Carolina. President Trump led in 24 states, including critical states like Florida and Arizona. https://nyti.ms/3hCdT3L
Three of the 4 best ZIP codes for Joe Biden, in terms of the number of donors, were on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

President Trump's best ZIP code includes much of The Villages, a retirement community in Florida. Other strong areas were parts of the Houston and Phoenix suburbs.
In Pennsylvania, Joe Biden was dominant in attracting donors not just in deep-blue Philadelphia, but also in suburbs. Another strong area was a college town: The dot in the middle is State College, home to Penn State.

President Trump, meanwhile, led in many less populous areas.
In Florida, President Trump's wide donor base is evident. He drew many donors in the Panhandle, where he won by large margins in 2016.

Joe Biden was stronger in the southeast, though not in one notable area: the ZIP code that contains Mar-a-Lago.
Wisconsin shows a similar pattern to other Rust Belt states: strength for Joe Biden in cities like Madison and Milwaukee, but more donors for President Trump in other areas. Biden also attracted donors in college towns like Eau Claire, La Crosse and Stevens Point.
In Arizona, Joe Biden had pockets of strength in cities like Phoenix and Tucson, but many areas elsewhere were particularly friendly for President Trump.

Two ZIP codes in the Phoenix suburbs were among Trump’s best in the country in terms of the total number of donors.
A similar pattern in urban and rural areas held true in North Carolina, with Joe Biden showing strength in Charlotte, Raleigh and Durham.

President Trump led in less populous areas. One strong place for him was along Lake Norman, where one of his golf clubs is located.
We looked at the 2020 money race for all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C.
