I track State level campaign finance in Texas. Over the past three years, I've captured pretty much all of it, in every race (right from the TEC site). There is definitely something going on in 17 Texas House districts. #txlege

In every one of these 17 +1 races, overall contributions to the Democrats went up (whether direct cash or in-kind). In all but one, contributors went up too. That's AMAZING. Communities are paying attention at a grassroots level.
While more focus is going to the Dem candidates, the R's are attempting to ramp up as well. In most cases, it isn't the step change we see on the D side, but it means this is going to be a fight all the way to November 3rd.
Every one of these were single digit losses for the Democrat in the race in 2018. Based on the increased attention for 2020, the grassroots support, and the top of the ticket, we just may see the 10 needed seats go blue, meaning the Texas House would flip.
