Hello dear #cryptoartists! As I said I was doing this, lets go!

First things: this are only my opinions. I work as a full time designer on a Marketing/Branding Agency in Brazil, so I based this on my experience working with social media. You don’t have to follow this or anything.
Is just advice and tips. You make your own path, remember this.
This thread is aimed at artists that are ALREADY on the #cryptoart scene and strive to get a better engagement on social media to promote their works. IS NOT a begginer guide on how to cryptoart. There is A LOT of amazing content covering that.
So, lets begin: 3-What social medias do you use? Learn the difference and what they are oriented for. Instagram is more picture oriented and twitter is more multimedia and allows more discussions. You can experiment with other platforms such youtube, tiktok, and more
to attract new audiences! This is good to attract new people to cryptoart and to know your work! Is good to know about how their algorithms work too, but just a basic understanding is already great!
Presentation is EVERYTHING: your work can be beautiful, but a low quality image or a comic sans font can ruin your image. Always export a high quality to mint and a good quality to social media. You can use mockups and other things to present applications of your artworks too.
Have a portfolio/website: this is super important. When you are submitting to someplace you will have a complete portfolio to submit. Also, a website adds credibility to your “brand” as an artist.
Bio and statement: this is also very important. You can research about how to do them and use other artists example. They inform who you are and just overall enriches people vision about you and your work.
Strategy: There is a big difference between having a lot of followers and having engagement. I strive to the second because is way more precious to me as an artist. I don’t want to be a “popular” person, I want the right people looking at what I make.
This does not mean that artists with a big following are “influencers” or a bad thing. NO!
But for someone that is starting, striving for quality over quantity is a good strategy!
Connect & follow people within the same interests. Contact them, ask and make friends. Don’t go on a follow spread. Study and follow people you think are interesting and have things in commom with what you do!
This way you are not building an audience full of random people that doesn't care about what you do.
Where/what to post: Using Analytics helps a LOT with this. We don’t want to spend hours in social media. We need to make art. So research the best times to post and what to post in what social media. This helps a lot with engagement.
Time management: You can program posts/tweets. This helps a lot when you don’t want to be in social media and it will keep your engagement good. This way you don't need to be 24/7 connected.
Langauge: In marketing, we have this thing called “personas”. Making a persona may help with social media. This way you can keep your inner artist intact when interacting and creating strategies for you.
Find your voice and use it with intelligence. Being rude and disrespectful only hurts the way you are perceived. I’m not saying to keep quiet and don’t stand for yourself. To not defend your ideals. NO. (BTW take this with a grain of salt is only MY perspective on that)
There are lots of artists that are more confrontational and there is NOTHING wrong with that. This is just "marketing" advice! Follow your path, may that be anything you want!
Finally: this is just some marketing and design things I learned and I thought would help anyone striving more engagement.
Don’t bow to any ideals you don’t want and find your voice. Follow your path. Don’t compare with other artists. You are unique as your journey is.
Don’t attach to much on followers and social media. Do what you want and what you like.
Enjoy your art for youself and you will be the happiest artist. ❤️
Sorry for any typos or wrong grammatics!
