The dilemma of Ronald Reagan and the supply-sider economists is one of the tales I find myself subconsciously telling people about.

-Flawless logic is exhaustive.
-Paradox is real and is as effective as anything.
-What separates wisdom from cunning is vision.
-Paradox can't be forced (usually); it's a function of subconcious reaction and not a rational move. Why? Because nobody has all the power. Ignorance and panic reaction meanwhile have all the power, that's why they effortlesly force paradoxical events.
-No theory is wrong, only the timing, condition and the environment of it's application.

-A president must be both cunning and wise; cunning equips him with ideas, tricks and details. Wisdom equips him with condition, timing and perfect terms and environment.
-Reagan looked for the right idea, found it in the right people, but executed at a very wrong time and upon a wrong individual. He failed. Nothing to do with the idea, rather himself. He was smart, nowhere as great visionary.
-If you think the failure is in the idea and not Reagan you are wrong. Almost 40 years later, a more wise and cunning president, Donald J. Trump, has bought the same idea, and it is working out perfectly both for the American economy and his political aspirations to win 2nd term.
-The classical economists were like Khal Drogo's Dothraki; undouftful theoretical strenght, valour and knowledge of the economy. But the probability of them stepping in the wrong direction is big. Neo-classical better than than that. Keynesians greater than that.......
..But Neo-keynesians are like Grey Worm's Unsullied being commanded by Ramsey Bolton; not so many, not so powerful offensively, not so loud, but the world will end before they commit a mistake, amd not because they are not trying but because they have superior discipline.
Reagan was an erroneous president from economic perspective. His successor, Bush Sr, clueless. His successor, Bill Clinton, the best thing that happened to American economy since Lincoln. Bush Jr and Obama I don't care. Donald Trump better than any name mentioned in this thread.
