CN:ableism, disability appropriation

Liverpool folks - if any of you know who runs SineMission1 on instagram, please tell them this isn't ok.

The sunflower lanyard is for those of us with hidden disabilities. Seeing it used like this has me in tears.
Disabled people fight so fucking hard again people who tell us we're faking.

My biggest feat is that this scheme, one of the few that doesn't require us to share our intimate medical details, is going to be taken away through misuse.
One of my other biggest fears is that "well meaning" abled people are now going to start challenging actually disabled people using sunflower lanyards because they arent visibly disabled and they think they're faking like this man.

It's so dangerous. Abled people hate us.
I wonder what @LivEchonews think about the fact that they gave a front page to a man who is stealing sunflower lanyards meant for disabled people & encouraging his followers to do the same?
Muting this thread now. The guy did end up deleting the stories and giving a half assed apology. If you need to talk to me about anything related to this, DM me as I won't get notifs
