Park Jisung the future of kpop : a thread

for someone his age, jisung sure does offer immense potentials. he's a growing artist capable of influencing and inspiring the generations of kpop yet to come. his unmatched talents and skills makes him an all-rounder idol as well as an admirable artist.

jisung joined sm at the age of 10. debuted in nct dream at the age of 14. even from a young age he had shown undeniable excellence in dancing & have earned praises for it. here's a video of young jisung dancing and being completely in his element.

in nct dream's debut song 'chewing gum' jisung did the dance break which in comparison to one of their later performances shows how much he has improved. his movements are much more controlled and well executed. his dance style is greatly influenced by popping.

the only aspect of stage performance he struggled with a bit had been facial expressions but he's improved tremendously since younger age and now exudes so much charisma which makes his stage presence very eye-catching

'black on black' nct's most performance centric song gave us 16 year old jisung controlling the whole group in this part of the choreography. his techniques, facial and body control as well as stage presence are top notch

he was a contestant on dancing high a dance competition wherein he was seen as tough competition. in the ace battle episode he showcased a jaw dropping, clean and SELF CHOREOGRAPHED performance of nct u's 'the 7th sense' remix version

despite their busy schedules jisung & his partner yoonjun managed to practice & perform this masterpiece. 'barcode' was truly one of his best performances in dancing high. they were team hoya's ace unit for a reason

jisung's main weapon is his well polished skills in popping and in an episode of dancing high, eui jin an expert of popping complimented him followed by the rest of the judges praising him as well as calling him an ace among the contestants

while popping is his main forte, jisung is infact a versatile dancer who can easily adapt to other styles. this performance of 'love shot' a choreography which demands more fluid and controlled movements shows his versatility as a dancer

another example is the 'now u can cry' perf in which he showed an entirely different side of dancer jisung. an admirable quality of him is that he never overdances, always uses the right amount of energy & conveys raw emotions in the most beautiful way

while it is an easy task for him to show his individual skills,jisung didn't find much difficulty in blending with his team despite being absent for some practices. in this grp perf we can see how as the main center he maintains the same energy as the rest

jisung collaborating with famous dancer and choreographer melvin timtim and the rest of the why not crew (taemin, eunhyuk and gikwang, very extraordinary dancers) he was only 16 when he did this. he's really up THERE already!

jisung's solo stage from their gaon performance. he talked abt not being fully satisfied with this performance but that's the perfectionist in him speaking bc we can all see that he killed this one. stage is where he belongs. his aura is something else.

jisung ranked #4 in the "Best Male Idol Dancer" in we-kpop by kbs world. he's the youngest idol in the list and was mentioned alongside some of the greatest and versatile dancers kpop has ever seen.

a dancer who runs the youtube channel 'ON THE SCENE' did a technical dance analysis of ridin' to see who did the choreo the best. as expected jisung ranked #1. they also pointed out his various strengths and one weakness which he can definitely work on & avoid in the future

“he is still in his 10s but he has unbelievable skills for his age, nct's main dancer, jisung” he was mentioned together with exo's kai and monsta x's shownu in a tmi news episode. the topic was dancers with best dancing skills.

in dream's entire discography jisung's lines makes up 6 minutes. however every time he sung or rapped he did it to the best of his ability. in the last two albums he has gotten more lines and was able to showcase more of his vocal abilities. jisung lines rise!!

his various talents have got him the sub rapper title as well. because his voice is very deep and has a soothing feel to it these two qualities are made use of in different ways for different songs. here are his rap parts from 4 different eras.

jisung singing justin bieber's 'love yourself'. the second time he sang longer, his pronunciation has improved a lot and he sounds as beautiful as ever. his deep voice truly is heavenly.

his part in nct dream's song 'don't need your love' was rather a cultural reset in ncity because of how crazy the fandom went over his deep vocals. his voice is really special.

jisung suggesting ad-libs for ridin' & they immediately decided to put it in the song. they also praised him for his voice & told him to make the best out of it! he's able to give his own inputs & has been branching out into more creative sides of music

jisung has participated in writing lyrics for nct dream's songs as well. So far he has wrote in 'dear dream', 'bye my first' & 'best friend'. In one of his voice lives he had talked about wanting to write more about life & things he can say to young people rather than about love

fun fact: when asked abt his inspiration for writing the lyrics in 'bye my first' a song about love, jisung said that he's never been in love so he got inspo from watching his mom's favourite drama. here's a vid of him singing the killing part of the song

jisung is interested in playing guitar so he has been learning it from jeno. he have also talked about wanting to participate in composing in the future. as an ace idol we can expect the best from him. hopefully we'll get to see the guitarist and composer sides of jisung soon!

one thing commonly seen in kpop is that most of the idols who are considered Korea's IT boys have a remarkable acting career too. and like the multitalented idol he is, park jisung too has an acting history

jisung debuted as an actor before he joined nct. he was featured in "Go Stop Murder" a thriller movie released in July 2013. child actor park jisung did this. imagine how powerful actor jisung could be at this point of his career.

in his SMRookie profile, 'acting' was included as one of his specialities. If only sm provided him an opportunity to expand his acting career.... he really could've had a successful career in acting. this boy is immensely talented.

besides his talents, his godgiven visuals are extremely praiseworthy too. he's tall, has a great body proportion& a beautiful face. in his 'boy' video a staff praised him & told him that he has got a model vibe. and of course he got shy & thanked them.

these pIastic surgeons analysed everyone in dream & while it was jisung's turn they talked about how he has a pretty & cute image. they were basically gushing over his pretty nose as well! he even got called a bright white angel! jisung has a very pretty, adorable & angelic face

in a 'why not the dancer' episode jisung was told by eunhyuk that he reminds him of young taemin while watching him dance & taemin even passed down his 'power taem' nickname to jisung by himself. this is such an achievement from the dance god himself. jisung got shy as expected

donghae and eunhyuk reacted to jisung's dance and called him 'sm's future' as well as the 'rising star of sm'. even his seniors are aware of his extraordinary talents and abilities.

this thread was inspired a particular pann post in which Idol-trainer-turned-youtuber named 3 male idols he thinks could be the future of kpop's next generation& jisung was one of them. park jisung is indeed the future of kpop

it would be a crime to end this thread without talking abt his personality. jisung is someone who is driven by extreme passion & dedication. he's very wise and have been working his whole life to be where he is now. he's deserving of respect both as an artist and as an individual

he's an idol who's very sincere and he trusts his fans enough to open up to them about his worries. he has let his vulnerable side show without worrying abt the aftermath bc that's how much he relies on and trusts them. i hope this trust will never be broken

he's very caring, kindhearted and always wishing for everyone's wellness. jisung considers his fans his friends/siblings and never fails to brighten up their day. on top being an extremely talented idol he just had to be extremely loveable too.

jisung has everything you'd look for in a artist. be it talent, be it potentials, be it a golden personality, he has it all. though he's only in his 10s now he's capable of being an influential artist & we can only imagine what the future holds for him
