Time to start a new thread, because the first one is getting unweildly. Prior articles documenting possible #SARSCoV2 #Reinfection or #Reactivation here: https://twitter.com/PRussW1/status/1273476315811897350?s=20
I suspect this narrative is going to start picking up steam leading into the next 2-3 months. Time will tell. #SARS

I hope the scientific community eventually gets around to confirming or disproving whether people are experiencing #Reinfections to #SARSCoV2/ #Covid. If yes, what is the population risk.

I know, there are no confirmed cases of #Reinfection to #SARSCoV2/ #Covid. Nevertheless...

#Reinfection to #SARSCoV2/ #Covid? Sure would be useful if studies were done in this space to prove or disprove. H/t @adamhamdy

As was suggested to me by someone else, keep an eye on Iran re: #Reinfection #SARSCoV2

Iran appears to be the only country making a concerted effort to assess #SARS2 #Reinfection. They are suggesting it is happening. They seem to be unclear on whether it is a product of mutation or more general immune response decline.

The developing story in Iran May prove informative on the potential #SARSCov2 #Reinfection narrative. May be worth keeping an eye on.

Is this a #SARSCoV2 #Reinfection? If yes, how representative are cases like this?

I get that only the really bad anecdotes of potential #Reinfection of #SARSCoV2 might get reported. Again, when will we study #Reinfections in earnest and, if it is a phenomena we have to deal with in the shorter term, what are the population level risks?

I’ve previously suggested that we need to keep an eye on Iran re: #reinfection & #reactivation. Very curious as to what is going on in Iran that driving this article.

Clinical findings always lead scientific determinations. By no means conclusive, but certainly interesting. #SARSCoV2 #Covid #Reinfection

While I get that gold plated research standards were not used, clinical findings continue to diverge from consensus hypotheses regarding #SARSCoV2 #Covid #reinfection.

A relevant take on the reinfection debate. Highlights the weakness in the current hyper-conservative scientific approach & the possible ramifications of our collective failure to deal with concepts that, if proved, could have an immense human impact.

"These data, together with the recent observation of a similar structure in wild-type Spike ectodomain strongly suggest that before recognition by a cellular receptor, the ‘locked’ conformation will be the predominant prefusion form on the viral surface.
While some groups console themselves with the notions that “there are no confirmed cases of reinfection or reactivation”, other groups are taking lead and starting research into an important question.

I really debated tweeting this one (given how tragic this is), but given the lack of credence by “experts” regarding possible risks of #SARSCoV2/ #Covid #Reinfection I have reluctantly decided to add this one here. Hopefully, we can begin to take this risk more seriously https://twitter.com/penmanila/status/1297358850996092930

First potential case of #Covid #Reinfection in Canada (Nova Scotia). I am concerned that the official narrative that reinfections are rare is risky, since we may very well be at the leading edge of the curve for reinfection cases.

Four more reinfection cases (this time in Spain. Three are mild cases of reinfection. One required hospitalization (time interval of 5 months). Herd immunity, how? https://twitter.com/itosettiMD_MBA/status/1305502379350151174
There are likely many more than three (3), but I am certainly glad to see the scientific community coming around. Though all of this has been obvious for months and a possible concern since, at least, March. https://twitter.com/DrEricDing/status/1308424370008797184
