If folks knew what USPS has been put thru, you'd be shocked that they're still standing. Billionaires have been trying to destroy USPS for 30 years.

USPS is profitable. USPS is incredibly efficient and it's been a path to stability & security for Black and brown people for decades. Conservatives are trying to privatize the USPS, eat all the meat off of it, and leave it to function on bones.

In order to eat off of USPS, however, it has to be destroyed first. To do this, they passed a stupid, arbitrary, nonsensical piece of legislation that required the USPS to fund retiree healthcare 75 years into the future.

This makes no sense and ended up costing about $100 billion dollars.

USPS is the only service that delivers to every address in the United States. Folks, there are areas where UPS and FedEx simply do not deliver. Often rural areas. UPS & FedEx will hand it off to USPS if it's not in their coverage area.

USPS mail carriers often have shitty resources and dated technology. They're soldiers though. Those folks will work until 1 a.m. getting shit done. You don't see it but it's happening. There is resistance happening among the USPS rank & file.

Anyway, once I learned what they've been dealing with for 15 years, my attitude toward USPS did a complete 180. We all should be lined up behind USPS ready to go to war for them.
