I don't know who needs to hear this but... racial capitalism does not mean, insinuate, or imply that there is a non-racial capitalism (shout out to Ruth Wilson Gilmore). Racial capitalism simply specifies the racialized, imperial, colonial, world-systemic nature of capitalism...
It is essentially a way to both reject and correct the generic "system of free enterprise" framework that deals with abstract relations of exchange between individuals and firms at that national level. In this way, to point out that capitalism is racial is to state the obvious...
But it is a necessary statement given that the racist, racialized, and racializing nature of capitalism is generally concealed, obfuscated, erased, distorted, negated, neglected, and otherwise silenced to epistemologically reify the system itself.
