Me using yizhan to learn Chinese. A thread.

P. S. I'm completely new to this language and am teaching myself using free online resources, so please pardon any mistakes.

P. P. S. I am using the Duolingo, LingoDeer, and HelloChinese apps. I like hellochinese the best.
1.
你好 (ni hao)
Literal translation: you good
A very formal way to greet someone or what you would say when you meet someone for the first time. Yizhan would never use this with each other.
1. (contd.)
Yizhan alternates: "bro" greetings that linger too long.
Alternates for us mere mortals: keep it simple, silly. Say hi.

Found a great article about greetings:

2.
再见 (zai jian)
Literal translation: again see (see you again)
Again, a very formal way to say goodbye. It might even make the other person feel bad, if you're close/friendly, because you're being so 'stiff' with them. Yizhan would never use this with each other.
2. (contd.)
Yizhan alternates: bye-bye!
Because they're close and are definitely gonna see each other again soon. Notice their casual waves to each other at the end of the Nanjing concert.

3.
Characters every bxg should know:
肖战 (xiao zhan)
王一博 (wang yi bo)
一战 (yizhan)
哥哥 (gege)
弟弟 (didi)
战哥弟弟爱你 (zhan ge didi ai ni)
博君一肖 (bo jun yi xiao or bjyx)
战山为王 (zhan shan wei wang or zsww)
连锁反应 (lian suo fan ying or lsfy)

❤️.💚🐰🦁🐢
4.
加油 (jia you)
Literal translation: plus oil (add oil, add fuel)
My favorite phrase that Chinese speakers seem to use very very often. A phrase offering encouragement and motivation to keep fighting, try harder, and keep one's spirit high!
4. (contd.)
Yizhan usage of jiayou:
"jiayou, zhan-ge!!" (fierce yibo, 2018)
"zhan-ge jiayou." (cute yibo, 2018)

Also, genuinely supportive Yibo yelling 加油 when XZ was shaking with fever ready to dunk his entire body in the cave pool for the shot 🥺😭 https://twitter.com/notagainxz/status/1284444449477554177?s=19
