1/ New post, who dis?
The Rehumanization of Social Media
https://link.medium.com/zhGgPKDtm8

TL;DR
Pre-2005: Humans and organizations created and filtered our content and the inputs to our cultural fabric
2005-2020: Algos ate social media and with it how we consume info and relationships
2/ 2020: New social media platforms are emphasizing authenticity, humanity, and connection in lieu of likes (with new, more sustainable business models).
4/ This is part of a broader trend: the Internet over the course of 25 years has become great at “leveling the playing field” and “democratizing access” and “creating an endless aisle.” The consequences of that convenience: the web lacks curation, organization, conservation.
7/ Much work to do; much of it more exciting and impactful than ever. Reach out to us if you're working on an inspiring project!
