1. Have your position coach send you his position specific drill work to do on your own.
2. Learn your playbook inside and out. Learn what the other 10 guys on the field are doing and how your assignment works collaboratively within the defense.
3. Speed and strength are always at a premium. Run hills, find creative body weight workouts, push/pull a sled. Just don't excuses to not be faster and stronger by the end of the Fall
4. Watch some NFL game film of your favorite player at your position. Youtube is a great resource to find games and highlights
5. Stretch daily. Flexibility helps prevent injuries and improve performance
6. Pick up a book! Yes, one of those old dusty paper things with pages and words! Find something to read on scheme, leadership, discipline, teamwork etc.
