I first experienced racism by a WHITE Honduran woman when I was 8. I was supposed to sleep over my friends house and I heard my friends mom tell her to hide her jewelry cause she knew how “those negros were” in Spanish. I started crying and I asked her in SPANISH if I could call-

My mom cause I was uncomfortable being there, she started telling me that she didn’t know I was a latina, and how that changed everything. I begged till she gave me the phone I called my mom told her exactly what happened. My mom came and guess what she did? Beat the woman silly.

But in all seriousness, Latin people are just or more racist than white ppl. It’s engraved in them that they have to hate anyone that’s black no matter what language they speak. I knew from a very young age that ppl would hate me based off of the color of my skin alone. I don’t-

Want shit to do with certain ppl within “my community”. I also would get “you’re so pretty for a black girl” or “you’re a beautiful black latina”. Those backhanded compliments always annoyed me. Anyway I’m done ranting. I just want ppl to know racism has always been very real.
