Why the nationals Nekoma x Karasuno match is my favourite match in the entire manga (a thread)
1. It represented everything that Haikyuu is. It had amazing volleyball, great teamwork, incredible sportsmanship & some character growth peppered in there.
2. The Battle of the Trash Heap!!! Not only were the VBC boys waiting for this but Nekomata & Ukkai Sr. has been waiting for this for years!!! And now it finally happened!!!!
3. Literally that whole match I was on the edge of my (proverbial) seat. With every set in the match I honestly didn& #39;t know who would win, and I didn& #39;t know who I wanted to win.
4. Kuroo being incredibly proud of his kouhai!! . He saw the growth of our boy Tsukki!!!! Our man Kuroo really saw potential in Tsukki & seeing him be fired up & go toe to toe with him in blocks must have been such a moment for him! I love their dynamic so much.
5. Kenma!!!! This kid!!! He really is the brains behind Nekoma. That cage scene???? He really was an evil genius. But also the growth!!! We got to see him finally enjoy volleyball!!! He went from being ~meh~ to "this is the most fun ive had in my life"
6. And everyone& #39;s reaction when he said "This is fun" for the first time!!! Hinata being so happy he got his friend to say it, Kuroo was probably close to tears when he heard Kenma say those words. IM SO PROUD AHHHHH i can talk abt Kenma& #39;s growth for hours but i digress
7. That little Yaku & Nishinoya interaction where Yaku tells Noya that he gets better everytime he seems him just warms my heart
8. Nekomata & Ukkai Sr& #39;s handshake. I FELT ALL THE THINGS.
9. My absolute favourite part is what happens after the actual game. These two teams who consider each other their absolute rivals on the court have absolutely no ill feelings toward each other outside of it. THEY& #39;RE ACTUAL FRIENDS.
10. That moment when Daichi crosses the net to hug Kuroo brings me to tears everytime. And then everyone else does it as well & then i couldn& #39;t stop bawling for 10mins straight. It really shows how amazing these characters are.
11. They were more than just one dimensional rivals. These were people who didn& #39;t just play against each other, these are people who pushed each other to be better. It wasn& #39;t just about winning, it was about challenging each other& #39;s limits & learning from each other. I love them
In summary, i love the Karasuno/Nekoma dynamic so much someone hold me.
