So I see the left is fairly divided on current events.

Here is my take, whatever it is worth;

We had a whole movement around consent & abuse that we stood behind proudly.

Now it is one of our own being accused, & it's made folks forget our own standard of praxis.
I understand folks are upset. Some believe the allegations are true. Others believe they are false.
Praxis says that an investigation takes place. I feel there are entities that skipped that process, but I also feel that it is not the correct take, to dismiss the accuser(s).
We see another failure of our process here, & it is one we see in our leftist organizing spaces often; intentional or unintentional.

Shahid deserves due process, & accusers deserve to be heard. Facts, Closure & healing should be the point, but what we have is public spectacle.
Worse, we are fighting with one another about our various positions in this conflict, and losing sight of unity more and more.

Yes. It is very sad that this disrupts our ability to kick Pelosi out... but we said #MeToo & meant it, when it was the RW. We can't stop bc it hurts US
So yes. I'm deeply unhappy about this on a personal level. I'm sad. I hope an investigation shows this was all a misunderstanding, but I also have to take the matter seriously, because we PROMISED to believe accusers and investigate these things.

We shouldn't be hypocrites...
And we shouldnt fight EACH OTHER. That's exactly the sort of shit that will blunt our momentum as a movement.

Please do not do the work of liberals for them. Remember why we are here.

We can get through this, together & united.

I'm not ready to see us fall apart.
