Hasan Nizami was a Persian historian (12th-13th centuries) wrote Tajul-Ma'asir, the first official history of Delhi Sultanate.

He wrote that Qutbuddin built Jami Masjid ( #Quwwat_ul_Islam Mosque) at Delhi & adorned it with stones & gold obtained from #temples.
These Temples were destroyed by using elephants. The newly built mosque at temple sites were covered with inscriptions in Toghra "containing Divine Commands"
