finally, this testimony: some passerby German soldiers came to the pits to ask why the shootings were happening. the executioners’ leader gave an answer that made no sense. Something something my family suffered something this one Jew barbaric crime something something.

The illogic. That‘s what I can’t shake. These pieces of shit could line up women and children and the elderly in groups of ten and shoot them, pointblank, for hours a day, for weeks and months. Asked why, they couldn’t give a coherent response.
