turkey is banning netlix because it has lgbt content in it. turkey is about to ban twitter & social media because many lgbt people express their identity on them. turkey is covering up the murders of women and children.

turkey is letting rapists and murderers walk away. turkey is letting women beg to them to be protected. turkey is allowing their boyfriends, husbands, brothers, relatives, to murder them one after another. turkey is on its way to dictatorship.

turkey is on the edge of being ruled by the laws of religion. turkey has a president who can change law with a wave of his hand. turkey is controlling social media. turkey’s radio and television supreme council (rtuk) controls not only those, but also paid platforms like netflix.

turkey’s rtuk had been showing graphic scenes of violence/abuse/assaults with their whole chest, yet threathened netflix & said they “had their eyes on them”, for having a gay character for the first time in a turkish show.

turkey is officially and openly accusing lgbt people of corrupting their ideal society. turkey’s politician crashed his car into a 11 year old girl and threw her dead body from a building, calling it a suicide. turkey had closed that case like many others & failed rabia naz.

turkey had its president who threathened the society with banning twitter for insulting his daughter, yet had not spoke up for a young woman who was just recently murdered, pınar gültekin. turkey had no politicians opening their mouths about pınar, who +

was beaten up and strangled to death by her ex whom she broke up with once she found out he was married. turkey had no politicians talking about how that murderer put pınar into a barrel, first tried to burn down her dead body and filled the barrel with concrete once he failed.

turkey is arresting women at the protests for pınar öztekin. turkey has cops who dragged women on the floor and abused women in a protest against brutality towards women.

turkey has a government official who can justify the beating of peaceful female protestors by the police by saying ‘they were lgbt anyway. they might have attacked the police first.’

turkey did not seek justice for şule çet, another woman who was murdered. turkey had closed that case until the people on twitter made them reopen it and charge the murderer. turkey is planning on putting down twitter, which is pretty much the only thing that makes them function.

tw transphobia & police brutality

turkey did not speak about hande kader, a transgender, sex-worker woman who was a lgbt rights activist and burned to death. turkey did not show hande on national tv.

turkey did not talk about didem akay, another transgender woman who was a close friend of hande, when she killed himself, because of the transphobia. turkey also did not accept that didem’s suicide was, in fact, a murder by the society.

turkey failed emine bulut, whose throat was cut open by her ex husband in front of her 9 year old daughter. turkey failed emine bulut, whose last words were “i don’t want to die.”, while her daughter was sobbing in front of her.

turkey failed many more women who came after emine, and openly begged to their governtment to not be killed. turkey failed all those women when they put their abusers in jail AFTER they got murdered.

turkey failed this many women ONLY in 2020.
