Other than one week where I was able to work 40 hours in 3 days, I've been out of work since March

MO initially denied my unemployment claim, stating I was too poor to deserve help

It took over a month before I became eligible
During that time, I made the difficult decision to reduce my food intake by a third so I could keep my health insurance and stave off eviction

Last week MO fraudulently denied my UI claim, now stating I'm in school (I'm not)
The state sent me a letter about the denial. I filled it out, indicating that I'm not in school and haven't been at any time during my unemployment

They say they didn't get it...

So my UI is under appeal for 4 to 6 weeks, during which I will not recieve payments
I've applied to more than 100 jobs, just through Indeed. Dozens more directly to companies. Not one interview. Not one call
I paid ahead on rent while UI was flowing, but have 0 ability to begin paying for Sept

My health insurance will lapse on August 1st, during the extended peak of a pandemic

My food stamp app is in. They said 7 to 30 days to process it. I can make 7. At ~20 I start going hungry
I applied for rental assistance and was told I'm behind countless people on the list who are already facing eviction. There may not be funds left when it gets to me
I'm not asking the public for help, or even sympathy

I just want you to think about how common these circumstances are

I want you to wonder what you'd do in my situation
And to the city, state, and federal governments who have deliberately created these circumstances, I have a question:

When you take away my job, my home, my health care and my ability to eat, what do you expect me to do? How do you expect me to interact with you?
The further you push me down, the harder I will fight you
During this time, I've donated a higher percentage of my "wealth" than Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett, combined
In February I finally had enough equipment to establish a home studio. By September I'll have no choice but to sell it all, camera too, just to keep a roof over my head

The American dream only requires hard work, eh?

This country is a lie
Now the website lists the status of my appeal as "void." I called to inquire and while trying to get thru the system to a person, the recording told me my claim has "multiple issues" and then hung up on me. Called again. System says no appeals on file...hung up on me
Crying at the lady on the phone SEEMS to have helped. Says my corrected info should be dealt with by next week....

I dont trust that one bit but we'll see
She confirmed the letter I sent indicating I'm not in school was recieved almost 2 months ago. So it's been in their hands every day of these last 3 weeks they've been refusing to pay me. She excused that by saying they're busy, which is not my problem
The state should have had a plan in place to deal with a mass unemployment event. The state should have mass hired temps to 1) create jobs and 2) process everything faster
The amount of stress, anxiety and depression I've had to deal with because they denied my claim despite having the evidence in their possession that my claim should not be denied...

Missouri is a scam. From the assessor's office to the dmv to dol to the PD, a scam
With an asterisk for the one helpful woman at the assessor's office lol
I dont know what my breaking point will look like, but I'm very near it
Still no progress. Still errantly denying my claim. I call and it won't allow me to hold for a representative and doesn't offer a call back option. It just hangs up on me

Missouri is doing everything it can to abandon us. I hold you responsible @GovParsonMO and @LacyClayMO1
I call @LacyClayMO1 office and get full voicemail box after full voicemail box. Had to start hitting random extensions to find a voicemail that would accept my message

Doesn't leave me feeling encouraged that I'll even hear back, much less get help
Calling you out. What are you doing TODAY to ensure your constituents have access to their UI? Whatever it is, it's not enough cuz I'm not alone here

Of course the Director of MO Dept of Labor has her Twitter account private during a pandemic while her dept works hard to ensure unemployed workers get screwed out of the UI we've earned with our labor. Youre a failure and a coward @MoDOLIRDirector I see you
I've refused dozens of offers for donations from random people since I started this thread. But y'all owe me. DM for my cashapp
