Lots of talk - and hype - about "guilt free" "jet zero" aircraft.

Latest chatter is of a 70-seater "ultra quiet hybrid electric".

But nowhere could I find details about the actual CO2 savings being promised.

So I emailed the makers EAG and got this response from the CEO...
This news coverage in Telegraph by @emmagatten highlights how promises of "jet zero" are "overly optimistic and [rely] on out-of-reach technology"

Talk of 20-50% CO2 savings per passenger km on shorthaul, 70-seater planes is all well and good, but the vast majority of passengers are carried on planes the size of A320s and Dreamliners. Carrying that many people "jet zero" is (many) decades away at best IMO
