I can say without hesitation that safety was NOT the only side listened to. The process invited medicine, science, law, ethics, players, and rights groups, & included advocacy groups representing all groups. Also, both before & after the meeting, there was more consultation and discussion with people around the world to understand the breadth of issues. I get that it’s never possible to hear EVERY voice, but I feel like every domain was aired, and it was set up for robust discussion.
That said, what @SquidgeRugby does nail is that this is a nuanced discussion, even if some people are acting like it’s the stupidest thing in the world to be thoughtful about. Each element alone may be “simple” (to some), but they interact and impact one another in complex ways
