Today starts the 1st day of #lockdown-free day after a completely failed 4-month attempt at mitigating the spread of d #coronavirus.

Something that's been reaffirmed dramatically AGAIN in these 7-month times of d #pandemic & a question I have is this:

Governments of #Nepal & our leadership,
throughout pretty much d entire
history, have not really cared sufficiently
abt--& valued--d lives of d ppl.

Not even by those since 1990, when we
have had "democracy" but little
difference in d caste of those in power!

Generation after generation of that,
even d quakes of 2015--d biggest
natural calamity in living memory--
didn’t change any of that as expected.

In d aftermath, for lack of assistance etc.
some ended up killing themselves unable
to keep going, unable to endure d pain.

Apparently, during d #lockdown,
monthly suicide rate increased by 30%.

Reason behind countries that opened up
but didn't suffer through a 2nd
wave was their implementation of an incredibly
regimented, protocol-driven, &
successful MITIGATION program during #Lockdown:
#MassTesting, #ContactTracing, & #Isolating.

What did we get instead? #COVID19

Corruption, zero strategy,
& power struggles.

I would be impressed if they have
any kind of strategy to manage
the pandemic going forward.

There's absolutely no reason to.
They are likely just counting on
the people to "ride it through."
