For the last half century (at least), Republicans have been the party of white supremacy. That has been their platform, that has been their practice, that has been their pith. Anyone who supported the party in any way is implicated in it. That’s why John Kasich should stay home.

I have said again and again that white supremacy is the guiding principle of this election. It is the visible resurgence of BLM that has boosted Biden; it is white supremacy that keeps Trump entrenched. How do you value Black voters and fete our opposition? You don’t.

Supporting Donald Trump is an inhumane, monstrous thing to do. There’s no question that he will let thousands of people die to hold power, that he believes in destroying the lives of Black and brown citizens, that he will defend slavers and white terrorism to the end.

Don’t give anyone a single fucking cookie for leaving Trump. Don’t praise them for voting for the only reasonable alternative after they cheered his SCOTUS and judiciary picks, after his hand-picked AG gutted the rule of law, after it could have saved the thousands we lost.

How is it that white men get to be monsters for decades, help monsters gain power, entrench that evil throughout our land and then receive a medal for showing any goddamn decency? Is that not the pattern of an abuser? Why are we cheering these assholes?

Look, enjoy watching Lincoln Project vídeos or whatever. Enjoy the tiny flare of decency from John Kasich (I guess). But don’t see them as a solution. Don’t let them slither out of what they’ve done. Do not welcome them. They are who they have always been: seeped in supremacy.
