This is going to be a very long thread. Going to be talking about Nintendo and it's fanbase. First off, as a disclaimer: You have every right to be disappointed. You have every right to want first party games from Nintendo.
Now then, let's begin.

I want to start with my opinion on the direct. Honestly, it was okay. Cadence of Hyrule dlc and SMT III AND V definitely were the highlights of it. I didn't really care about the other two, since both were not my type of game. For their first partner showcase I think it was good.

Now onto the fanbase itself. If you were expecting first party games when the announcement explicitly told you that it was a partner showcase (which are second and third party games), I think you might wanna learn how to read.

It literally said that they were going to share more info from previously announced games from publishers other than nintendo. I get it, we don't have that many games from Nintendo planned for the rest of this year. But, please remember: WE ARE IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC

There are people working at Nintendo that are literally RISKING THEIR LIVES TO BRING YOU ENTERTAINMENT. You don't have to be happy with direct or be happy with what was shown, but be thoughtful that these people are working hard and are risking a lot to make you guys happy.

Some advice for you guys that they are disappointed:you can be disappointed, but don't take it out on other people.
The leaked who leaked this, Kelios, was harassed and sent death threats because people were disappointed. Lest me tell you, death threats are NEVER OKAY

HARASSMENT IS NEVER OKAY. Seriously, I get you guys are disappointed, but don't take it out on the leaker. He went out of his way to leak it and make you guys excited for it. He literally could've chosen to say NOTHING.

Basically, don't throw a tantrum if you don't get what you want. We still have future directs for this year!

Now to address the other side of this matter...

The other side of this matter are the people who are bitching to others that aren't happy with the direct. Let me set this straight: Just because you are happy with the direct doesn't mean others have to be. I know I've said this a lot, but people can be disappointed.

Everyone likes different types of genres of games. If the games shown were your cup of tea, awesome! You got some things that you wanted. But remember that it's your cup of tea, and not everyone is going to like it. People can be disappointed if they want to.

Basically, people don't have to be happy with things because you are. To summarize the thread, you can be happy or disappointed, and NO ONE SHOULD TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULD LIKE IT OR BE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THEY LIKE/HATE IT. Be what you wanna be!
