The lifecycle continues:

1. "YOUR PAID GROUP LEADER CAN'T TRADE LIKE ME."
2. "I LOVE TO PROVIDE FREE EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL AND SET UPS."
3. "Wait a minute, I'm growing pretty big here."
4. "Wait... I'm hitting some nice public set ups."
5. "I AM NOW YOUR PAID GROUP LEADER."
Now I've been running my group for over 12 months. I had exactly the same response every new group gets.

My advice:

Provide value.
Work damn hard to make sure it's a success.
It's harder than you think so don't stop.
Be honest with yourself.
Most people claim they love providing free information, they usually don't.

Be honest if you have intentions to monetize. Be honest if you want to start charging.

Don't join the masses in posting "paid group leader" memes if you are just going to turn into one in 3 months.
There is value to be achieved in groups depending on your aims. Research, decide who you want to be involved with, decide what your personal goals are.

Some groups offer true value, just like Twitter you have to sort the shit from the gold.
