Here's a little insight about what I call "woke" farming.
We see all this in different YouTube videos about gardening and farming . Everything is SO green and lush and they preach about how organic it is. Let me tell you this. It's not.
Sheet mulching : requires a lot of cardboard or similar materials and unless you live in a place where decomposition happens quickly it will take one year at least and unless you want to grow only potatoes that year it's not going to happen for about 2 years.
When I saw pictures from Seattle or Portland can't remember wich and they first of all just covered the ground with cardboard and then threw some baught soil I couldn't stop laughing. It defeats the very purpose. Also it was invented by a white woman Ruth Stout!
If you want to grow organic home grown and oh so wholesome foods . There are no shortcuts. You'll have to drop your device and start doing backbreaking work.
And this is just for your own plot . Imagine this on a large scale!
The only country that does this regularly.
Is also having the climate, using humanure and force people to work with that is Cuba.
They also had to cut down a substantial amount of woods for this to aquire the space too! Thanks to modern farming we can now feed up to 11billion and it's not because of organic methods.
I am not saying this to discourage you to try to grow some yourself. Far from it! But just like Antifa, BLM and other sjw's are painting a pretty picture that isn't the truth . The truth is that you will have to literally get your hands dirty and your back and knees aching.
But nothing comes for free. The sooner you realize this the better.
What's my credentials? I've tryed various farming methods and techniques by myself and I am normally a small farmer. In a very not so nice climate. In a place where the soil is infamously bad .
But with hard work and effort it can and does work
