Ibadan is one of the most affordable places to live in Nigeria.

So, if you are looking for a serene city to live in Nigeria, Ibadan is not just an option, it’s an emotion. I have curated a list of irresistible, cool, and pockets friendly areas in Ibadan through this thread.
1. Agodi G.R.A
Agodi G.R.A is a first class residential neighborhood in Ibadan. It prides itself as the seat and home of power. It is home to the Oyo State secretariat which houses the Governor’s Office and all other parastatals are all domiciled in this G.R.A.
2. Oluyole Estate
Oluyole Estate is under Ibadan South West Local Government Area of the state. It is a blend of upper and middle-class residents. Living in Oluyole is averagely affordable. It is a few minutes drive from the Legendary Liberty Stadium. The road network is good.
3. Bodija
This is the gravitational Centre of Ibadan. It has the biggest commodity and agricultural produce market in West Africa.
Accommodation is pricey here, and the most expensive schools in Ibadan are found here.
If your aim is merchandise trade, then bodija is for you.
4. Akobo
Many civil servants and academics built their houses in this area as it is one of the new and relatively undeveloped parts of Ibadan.
Many houses here are <15 years old, and electricity here is above average given the presence of army and airforce barracks in the area.
5. Onireke G.R.A
Onireke G.R.A is a high brow low-density residential hub. A small sized prime neighborhood for investor’s because of its proximity to Dugbe (the CBD), the Ibadan Recreation Club, Golf Club and Magazine Road, of which the Lebanese have substantial warehouses.
6. Iyaganku G.R.A
This is the small London of Ibadan. Iyanganku G.R.A is a place only exclusive to the super rich plus the high and mighty in Ibadan.
It boasts infrastructural facilities including a first-rated neigbourhood police station armed to the teeth.
While some of them are old estates built by the government, some are newly developed estates with master piece architectural designs.
