Privatisation has destroyed the railways, the postal service. Covid is flattening businesses left, right and centre, putting millions out of work, *and* we have bloody Brexit to deal with - and now this?

What happens when the people at the bottom run out of money? It's already happened, it's happening *now*. What happens when you can't twist the financial screw any more, when you've taken every last coin, when we have nothing left to give? Then what?
Record unemployment, record homelessness, record food bank use, record numbers of children living in abject poverty and suffering from malnutrition.
Why don't we just go back to the poorhouses, like the good old days, and work fourteen hours so out betters may flourish...
