1/ There's a large crowd sentiment with the feds of 'we don't want you here. You aren't welcome here, these aren't your streets'

So rather than a protest it's almost a fight - one that a lot of people feel the feds started.
2/ a protestor told me '"if they can act outside the law, how can we sit around with our fists up and chant and expect change."

Which I think is a strong sentiment growing quickly. Protestors are fighting for their streets and democracy, the peace officers are dying down.
3/ so it's more and more (I know I've said this a lot) a fight. And I don't think anyone's gonna stop fighting until the feds are pulled from Portland.
4/ I don't think the goal is to get tear gassed, or shot, and I don't think it's to incite violence at all. But I think we've seen property damage gets attention and results - results protestors have never seen before. So what else can they do to be heard?
