Spurs twitter is very divided at the moment. Wanting ENIC and Levy out, Mourinho out and complaining about style of play and vice versa have been prevalent over the last few weeks. With the good run of results since the restart, the Jose In group are on top
The last few days I've seen plenty of tweets about possession and then listing games we lost when we had more possession https://twitter.com/ChrisSummersell/status/1285341969691086850
The real argument is about attacking intent and the style we want to play. Let's forget about possession stats as it doesn't equal style
2015-2018 we saw very good football, with an attacking four of DESK supported by Walker, Rose and Trippier with Dembele, Wanyama, Dier, Toby and Jan offering solidity at the back
We pressed high and played with high intensity and always excelled at attacking at pace

Performances under Mourinho have mostly been poor. Bournemouth 0-0 was one of the worst matches I've watched, up there with Newcastle-Cardiff from last season. We then scraped wins against Newcastle and Arsenal
Leicester however was a good performance. I did a thread on it here and I believe it is a lot closer to what we can expect next season. We stopped Leicester from playing (mostly) and then every time we had the ball we were dangerous on the break https://twitter.com/GriffinFtbl/status/1285319936672497664
Jose in or out?
I'm in, only because sacking him now makes no sense. I think he was the wrong appointment at the time, although at the time I'm not sure who else we could have brought in
We either commit to Jose and set him up to bring success or we don't and we've wasted time

Pochettino was here for a long time, it felt the club had a philosophy. A club philosophy, not just the manager. Clubs should commit to a style which they then constantly work towards and bring in head coaches who meet that

and then sign players who fit that philosophy. Hiring Jose goes against that and has changed the direction of the club. If we have success in the next 3 seasons and commit to this philosophy then great, but it's the sudden change in direction which is frustrating
Now I look at Ndombele and question how he fits into this team, our record signing who is hugely talented
The Leicester match has given me confidence as I felt that's the closest we've been to what Jose wants. With a preseason we can get even better and get in a RB and DM

There is a divide between our fans between those who are desperate for silverware (the older generations I believe but I could be wrong) and the younger generation who care more about style and watching good football but obviously still want to win things
Those desperate for silverware are excited about the prospect of winning things under Jose. They look down on people talking about 'rebuilds' and 'projects' wanting instant success. I think in the long term, which is why I like direction and philosophy and talk about projects
Closing Thoughts
Bringing in Jose feels a bit like a desperate way to win something without having the plan in place to do so, assuming that he can bring success here
Maybe he can in the next 2/3 years and that will be great. But then he'll leave and we won't know where we...

stand and then fans will complain when we're in another rebuild phase
If Jose is going to be here a long time and we commit to his philosophy and after he leaves he bring in someone with the same philosophy then good
I'd like him to bring long term success, not just an FA Cup
