I’m sad because Corona postponed my plans for pastry school, so here’s a thread of some of the delicious from scratch desserts I’ve made, and hope to improve after getting an education!
Roll-out vanilla sugar cookies, frosted with a simple mint icing. I made the 1st pic ones at Christmas time, and the 2nd pic ones I made for a baby shower
Almond spice “snow ball” cookies, made with almond chunks and flavour, cinnamon, and cardamom, and rolled in powdered sugar. I love to make these at Christmas time!
Of course I have to include some classic chocolate chip cookies!
Cinnamon rolls with a cream cheese frosting, and extra cinnamon
Flaky, buttery blueberry scones, topped with a vanilla glaze
Lemon swiss roll cake, filled with vanilla whipped cream, strawberry jam, and fresh strawberries, topped with extra whipped cream, strawberries, and mint leaves
Red velvet bundt cake, topped with marscapone frosting, and fresh berries
Buche de Noel chocolate roll cake, covered and filled with chocolate whipped cream, and garnished with meringue “mushrooms”
Italian cream layer cake, a brown sugar vanilla cake, frosted with an almond vanilla cream cheese frosting, with coconut shreds, and roasted pecans. I will be updating this thread as I make more desserts!
