I feel like depression is more common then we're led to believe but we also have to be careful and realize everyone has different depression experiences, some of us actively struggle with suicidal ideation it's ugly but it shouldn't be ignored

if your depression is more on the mild side than please work to be more mindful of people like me who's depression manifests with suicidal ideation and apathy. Destigmatize depression but don't try to paint it as cute

idk I feel like a lot of attempts at destigmatizing depression tend to paint it like it's not a big deal and I don't like that, I struggle with a mental illness that potentially endangers my life bc of suicidal thought, it IS a big deal
