I just watched this sit down, I’m not into too much of halseys music but this was really interesting and helpful. I’m glad that an artist as big as @halsey is, is using their platform for something like this

Something that resonated with me was that, when she said the media can speak positively about mental illness when it produces art for them, until it “takes something from them” in a similar way, I’ve realised this can be said the same of people in general.
I recently had an experience when I let myself slip and clearly showed I wasn’t doing okay in front of people I thought I knew (and could be not ok w), and now they won’t even speak to me. I definitely think people should be more active in person and not just use mental health
As a trend online. I’ve experienced too many times, when I’ve seen a friend post online about “advocating for mental health” but then avoiding me as soon as I don’t keep up w a happy facade. Anyways I know nobody will read this thread.
But it’s comforting to know there are people out there experiencing the same thing
