A couple clips from a recent Anti-Racist training for Blues, Lindy, and WCS dancers with a whopping 31k views. Dancers were taught that the US is not a democracy, it's a "slaveocracy." US progress towards freedom is a myth. And our true national history is one of White Supremacy.

While I think the individual who's teaching this is sincere in her beliefs and has good intentions, it's a strikingly lopsided, disingenuous representation of our American history and culture.

A friend who watched the Anti-Racist training sent me a text afterwards to tell me it was powerful. He specifically mentioned this part.

I'm disturbed that people are being taught dangerous falsehoods about our country as if it were well-accepted fact, in a context where they can't even question it.

Slavery was horrifying and real, it's part of our history. Racism still exists today. But to say our nation is all about slavery and racism is a twisted worldview.

It's just one of the many false and damaging worldviews that woke ideology requires us to believe.
