I have been deeply moved as I've watched these moms face danger bravely.

Where are the moms & other women in #churchtoo? In 1 scandal after another in churches large & small we've refused to protect children or stop predators. https://twitter.com/nypost/status/1285098706774167552
We've supported & tolerated empty words, meaningless plans, countless meetings, endless excuses & impotent responses by feckless men in church world.

Men have refused to use their power & influence to stand against evil, stop abusers & protect the wounded & vulnerable.
There may be lots of reasons for the men (usually) in charge to cover evil & protect the brand but where are the MOMS?!

Have the women in church world been taught bad theology & conditioned to the point that we have lost our natural ferocity to protect children on our watch?
I honestly didn't think we could be stripped of our natural instincts even in the name of being "godly."

How shameful we have been so spineless & accommodating that we stand by as children are harmed irreparably emotionally, sexually, spiritually in our CHURCHES!
We will stand individually before the Lord, not hiding behind any man. WE impact our children by what we do, say & allow.

I've asked, "Where have the good men gone?"

Now I ask, "What happened to us as moms & caring women that we tolerate & enable the evil in our churches?
The moms of Menlo, the moms in the SBC and other places should be raising a holy ruckus that demands real change immediately.

"If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy." Well, mamas have failed to get adequately *unhappy.*

We are part of the problem, sisters!
* This is not a statement about the appropriateness or efficacy of these moms. Please don't miss my point.

I picture thousands of little and bigger children protected by moms arm in arm shielding them from the powerful and dangerous.
