OKAY HERE GOES:
basically like the office but in the clinical lab, just day-to-day shenanigans of 20-somethings doing clinical lab science in a good-sized hospital

Namjoon: lead tech in microbiology. Can spot pathogenic bacteria in the most abundantly mixed cultures. Gets excited over every slide discovery. Has accidentally killed a few QC organisms by leaving them in the wrong incubator. Getting master's deg to become dept supervisor

Seokjin: lead phlebotomist/supervisor. Excellent at his craft and can get blood from even the most spiderlike veins. Also somehow skilled at making patients feel better about themselves and their progress when he speaks to them.

Yoongi: generalist who splits his time between blood bank/micro. Very attentive to detail. Not afraid to talk back to doctors demanding results or scold nurses who brought the wrong sample (gets him in trouble a lot). Designated lab safety officer.

Hoseok: phlebotomist. Brightens up patients' rooms just by walking into them. Adept at calming fearful patients before drawing their blood. Always gets called to draw children. Brings food to share with coworkers at any given opportunity.

Taehyung: generalist that mostly works chem/hema and related depts. Finds unconventional solutions to instrument problems. Lab's fix-it person (also friendly with many of the maintenance people that stop by to fix the instruments).

Jimin: licensed phlebotomist but only makes rounds occasionally, as he is mostly stationed at the front desk to receive samples/greet ambulatory patients and other visitors. His friendly but subdued demeanor puts most at ease and conveys a true sense of professionalism.

Jungkook: new hire generalist fresh out of school. Wanted to work in Namjoon's lab after completing his internship there. Can work a 12-hr shift without breaking a sweat but his hyungs will scold him if he takes on too many. Quick to learn and perfect skills.

NJ: OMG HYUNG IT'S LISTERIA I WANNA SEE THE UMBRELLA MOTILITY
YG: ffs u saw it last month too
NJ: look at him tumbling on the wet mount wheeee

Other tech: ugh I can't get this quality control to come in
Tae: let me see *quickly blows once over the open QC vial* try it now
Other tech: uhh okay? *reruns QC* *QC comes in* what--
Tae: there was a bubble

Tae talks to the instruments whenever they're alarming. He likes to think it soothes them if you speak nicely to them.

Kook is generally polite and quiet, but all that changes on Lab Week. He participates in every challenge, does all the dress up days, and eats the most during that week

Jimin: sorry to disturb you Yoongi-ssi, the doctor is asking for a preliminary identification of his patient's sputum culture
Yoongi: sure! Tell him there's nothing but sputum streaks right now since he sent the damn specimen literally an hour ago.
Jimin: TvT

Tae: hey so the physician called hema and wants to order a monospot test...
YG: why'd he call you? I'm in serology today
Tae: ....he ordered it because the patient has elevated monocytes......
YG: .....you're fucking kidding me right
