The right wants to win a culture war it has no idea how to win—it keeps defaulting to profit (let's make hack-y christian movies for a loyal, small, paying base—that'll do it!) and not realizing that culture/art belongs to those that do art just to do art, innovating to innovate

Innovation is the decision that pushing the world forward is more important that pulling money outta people

Innovation is largely a thankless act—the riches are often had by those that copy the innovation later

Those that set the new heights, though often penniless, own culture

The right innovated when it comes to memes—undeniably so. They pushed that shit so hard forward. And as Ive said many times, it is with that spirit of FREE / PLENTIFUL innovation that they must approach any art form they wish to wrestle from the didactic/preachy grasp of the left

Truly independent filmmaking is on the rise as Hollywood is dying a faster death than anyone could have anticipated. As I say, truly independent filmmaking is *THE* art form of the next 100 years. No culture war can be won without understanding and embracing this film movement.

Step one is to not inject politics, which means basically to avoid the topical—topical is a trap. Topical means news, and the news is what the left owns. Make a topical movie and it will immediately get spun against you, just like topical standup jokes are spun into 'statements'

Memes can afford to be topical, films can't. Films must always tap into something more timeless—that's not a bug of the art form, that's a feature. What you are saying can RESONATE WITH NOW, and SHOULD, but it should resonate out of time and space. Ethereal resonation

Avoiding the topical is also how best to share the wisdom of something without anyone having to feel like they're change their gang affiliation to agree. Any belief that has wisdom should have its wisdom shared with even non-believers—the more people that have wisdom, the better
