inhumane/terrible secret things the us gov has done to its own citizens: a thread
let’s start off with the Tuskegee study which was backed by the US Public Health Service. Back in the 30s, the US had a major soar in cases of syphilis.
The Tuskegee institute was located in a county where 35 some percent of the male population was infected with syphilis.

Long story short... PHS and the Rosenwald Fund sought out some poor 600 farmers (400 some infected, 200 not infected) and offered them free healthcare, meals
if they were to undergo a 6 month long treatment study to help the better means of ending the spread of syphilis.

The men were treated like guinea pigs and even received unnecessary procedures like spinal taps.

But it didn’t last 6 months. No. It lasted 40 years.
Even when penicillin was linked to help treat syphilis it was not offered to the farmers. Basically it was a racially targeted experiment (one of several) conducted by the gov.
Next, in the 50s there was the MKULTRA project that I mentioned earlier. It lasted from 53’ to 73’, in which the CIA illegally experimented on not only American but also Canadian citizens.
For over two whole decades they attempted to see if LSD could change a person’s loyalties (for example, turning a Russian politician into an American spy). They would perform this on prisoners, men who visited brothels, mental patients, even government agents.
Later ex-CIA members were testified in court by congress and many claimed to not be apart of it or simply “couldn’t remember” the operation
Fast forward to 2009, the US letting known criminals be allowed to buy guns. From 2009-2011 the Bureau of alcohol, firearms, tobacco and explosives allowed the illegal purchase of guns to known criminals in Arizona.
They did this with hopes that the weapons would lead them to Mexican drug cartels as they made their way across the border. . but they lost track of some 1700 guns and they showed up in Texas instead of Mexico (Operation Fast and Furious). The program ended in 2010 when +
+ one of the AK 47 guns showed up at the m^rder scene of a US border patrol agent in Arizona. Mexican officials have said some 150 Mexican citizens have lost their lives or have been wounded from the guns trafficked due to this program.
I do not know why the US inhumanly injected chemicals into their own civilians so many times but in the 1940s they began to inject plutonium into people.
The gov exposed unsuspecting civilians to radioactive elements in order to study their effects. This is also known as the Manhattan Peoject (well rather a part of it).
They injected 18 people with plutonium, gave more than 800 pregnant women vitamins that contained radioactive iron, and gave 73 Massachusetts disabled children radioactive oatmeal.
And even worse their bodies were later tested years later. They have no humane compassion or morality whatsoever.
This thread is getting kind of lengthy and I’m trying to summarize an article (which I’ll link at the end) but in short heres a list of things the gov has also done:

- Exposing Poor Cancer Patients to Large Doses of Radiation (60s/70s)
- Completing Chemical Experiments With Mustard Gas on Sailors (during WWII)

- Recruiting Naz!s to Live in America After WWII

- Adding Poison to Alcohol, K!ll/ng Over 10,000 Americans ( 20s)

the list goes on and on. America has had a history of subjecting their citizens to inhumane tests (a lot racially charged). I think its only fair that this information should be taught more in schools as it’s apart of the country’s history (but of course they won’t).
Do your own research and you’ll find quite a lot of terrible sht. This country was never and will never be perfect and god I wish more people would recognize that (mainly Wh/te gun-loving conservative patriotic Americans lmfao)
