#JusticeforGrace

1. Grace has an IEP (in article says she was supposed to get extended time to complete work).
2. Fire the caseworker (she did not follow through properly/waited 3 days AFTER reporting broken probation to follow up w/teachers
3. Vote out/get rid of the judge

4. We are in a pandemic!

I had students with & without IEPs. Some did amazing, other that struggled IMMENSELY during these past few months. Frustrating at times, but even I struggled as an adult with productivity...we ALL did.
I totally get it.

We have to also address mental wellness and support families appropriately w/o juvie/jail time esp. during this time.

I hope Grace's mother gets advocates for her IEP, to know their rights as a family, mentors & any socio-emotional supports as necessary.

I'm also talented and been using the wrong hashtag...wish I had that edit button. Was using #JusticeforGrace instead of #FreeGrace
