The thing about Portland is that we’ve been gassed and beaten by the Portland Police for years. The Mayor of Portland pretends it doesn’t happen. The only reason we’re able to rise up against the Feds is because we’ve been brutalized by our own local police every time we protest.

This is not just about the Feds. It’s still about the total abolition of policing, the prison industrial complex, and the racist capitalist system that needs them to function.

Black Lives are constantly at risk in our city, Feds or no. Protest is treated by our Democrat leaders as essentially illegal.

The most marginalized, Black Indigenous and People of Color, queers and the disabled, have been fighting for decades. This is not about Trump. This is about the United States, a corrupt, violent, racist, colonial, and imperialist country that must be abolished.
