None of this is to say that cats are mean animals. They can be situationally mean or temperamentally grumpy. But IF THEY LIKE YOU they are every bit as empathic as dogs. 2/2 The key is to make sure the cat LIKES you before taking it into your home and family. And this is where people fuck up. I notice it's the least empathetic people who have the most trouble liking cats, when they bother at all.
