Aight finished another section and i think I figured out my gripe with Origami King. Don& #39;t get me wrong, i have been enjoying parts of it.
But the game doesn& #39;t know what it wants to be. It& #39;s basically a pat on the back simulator with no real sense of accomplishment.

Every battle is so streamlined and simple with everything spelled out for you and almost no room for failure. I& #39;ve actually had difficulty TRYING to die. Thematically it wants to be more than a cookie cutter story and keeps building up segments with no real payoff.
It kinda dawned on me when I finished the ship, i was super excited when I got there and it had a horror theme that was dropped 2 seconds later and you don& #39;t even get a unique foe to surprise you. Its all build up, no pay off. THAT SAID THOUGH, its still charming in a lot of-
Areas. The game does well with music and writing when the jokes aren& #39;t paper related. I actually wound up liking bobby alot. I& #39;m a little disappointed i have to go and rescue Olivia though, so much better without her tbh
