Any other year, in 100% fine with zero preseason. This year, it feels like the #Bears have a few starting spots up for grabs & a few back end of the roster questions for the first time in a while.

It is what it is, though. First few weeks are going to be sloppy everywhere.

To be clear- I’m not saying the #Bears are at more of a disadvantage than the other 31 NFL teams.

Simply saying that a QB battle can’t truly be had without a few preseason games & a full off-season.

Whoever wins the job was clearly the front runner all along.

Either way, I would hate to be either quarterback going into Week 1.

With a slow start, the wolves (both nationally & locally) will be out & looking for blood. Fair or not. #Bears

Also- I feel awful for all the UDFAs & fringe roster players.

They’ll have virtually no time to claim any sort of roster or practice squad spot.

Only saving grace? An extended practice squad & roster exemptions.
