This is a wonderful question! There are a few things everyone can do (1/):

1. Contact your alderman, the mayor, and the alderman of your favorite bar& #39;s ward. Ask them what they& #39;re doing to ensure the continued survival of your favorite bar... https://twitter.com/supportchibars/status/1285323768173338624">https://twitter.com/supportch...
1 (con& #39;d). This includes working to ensure fairer enforcement of social distancing (it& #39;s restaurants that need to abide by guidelines even moreso than bars), rent relief, and grants that can ease the burden on struggling establishments.
2. Wear a mask, stop the spread.
3. If your favorite bar is selling to-go booze, BUY FROM THEM. Grocery stores are doing JUST FINE right now. Tip the staff.
4. Does your favorite bar have a GoFundMe or virtual tip jar for its employees? Fill that bad boy up.
5. Urge your state/federal reps to get aid to actual small businesses that desperately need help, not just shunting additional money to conglomerates and larger corporations.
6. Get tested, self-quarantine if you& #39;ve been exposed, STOP THE SPREAD.
(4/)
7. Do you have a lot of money that you won& #39;t necessarily miss for a period of a few years? Do you not mind the liquor commission having a lot of your info? Your investment could be the difference between your favorite bar surviving this mess, and, uh, not. BE SAFE OUT THERE
